William (Bill) Marino

Bill Marino has been involved in protecting and monetizing patents since 1995. During that time he has developed in-depth experience in licensing, litigating, and prosecuting patents. Over the years, he has litigated several high-profile patent cases, resulting in more than $300 million in settlements on behalf of his clients. He has also served as lead negotiator in numerous patent licensing negotiations. Through his career, he has advised clients on patent validity and infringement issues, negotiated inbound and outbound licenses, and counseled clients on offensive and defensive intellectual property strategy as well as due diligence for acquisitions and licensing.

Most recently, Bill served as CEO for Saxon Innovations, LLC, where he was responsible for the portfolio acquisition and overall strategy litigation decisions of the company. His efforts resulted in the generation of licensing revenues in excess of $115 million in fewer than 3 years. He was the chief architect of the ITC strategy, which proved to be pivotal to the company's success. While at Saxon, he also served as partner and General Counsel for Altitude Capital Partners, a private investment fund focused on investing in intellectual property. There, he was responsible for investments, managing litigations and was the chief negotiator for many of its portfolio companies' licensing programs. Prior to that, Bill Marino was in private practice with two large firms, where he specialized in patent litigation.

Bill holds an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University. He is registered to practice at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

  
Anthony Grillo

Anthony Grillo has been involved in intellectual property since 1992 and his practice has covered every aspect of protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights. He has led numerous patent licensing programs and teams, managed intellectual property litigation, asserted patent portfolios in a variety of technology areas including communications, semiconductors, and consumer electronics, and served as lead negotiator in resolving intellectual property disputes.

Most recently, Anthony served as Senior Vice President of Licensing for Saxon Innovations, LLC, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of Saxon. His efforts resulted in the generation of licensing revenues in excess of $115 million. Prior to joining Saxon, he served as Vice President of Licensing for IPVALUE Management Inc. where he managed patent assertion activities for various clients resulting in the generation of licensing opportunities in excess of $125 million. Anthony was also Vice President of Intellectual Property for Agere Systems where he led the IP legal and business teams that generated $140 million in annual revenue from the company's patent portfolio. Prior to Agere, Anthony worked as an intellectual property attorney in private practice.

Anthony holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University. He is registered to practice at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
